Senior software engineer

San Francisco, Full time, Remote

Memora Health has developed the most comprehensive end-to-end platform for analyzing and structuring fragmented health care data. We use artificial intelligence to digitize and automate patient communication workflows, ultimately helping organizations dramatically improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Memora supports a full suite of virtual care systems from automated patient intake and scheduling to telemedicine visits to accelerated billing and documentation in a singular platform, streamlining care delivery. We are building the next-generation operating system for care delivery. Memora Health is backed by some of the largest healthcare venture funds and angels in Silicon Valley and is a very technically-focused team.

We are aggressively growing our team and excited to bring on a senior full-stack engineer. This role requires the ability to quickly design and build new features on our platform, proactively think about scaling implications, and be very product-oriented. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain backend web-server architecture and client facing APIs (NodeJS/Express)
  • Oversee product roadmap and design feature implementations at scale
  • Work directly with health systems to establish integrations that securely intake patient data
  • Structure an engineering team and mentor junior software engineers
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success to design new features
  • Manage and report on product performance and usage statistics

Example Projects:

  • Design and implement a system that uses medical record data to predict and visualize what additional episodes of care a patient will need
  • Implement an IVR system with automated call transcription and identification of symptoms
  • Develop a risk assessment algorithm based on a patients’ responses and medical history
  • Train our NLP to establish contextual understanding (when do conversations start and end?)

Qualifications (Required):

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a software engineer
  • Significant experience with React, Node.js and Javascript
  • Experience with containerized app deployments
  • Product-oriented: you enjoy talking with customers and understanding how the product is being used
  • Highly organized: you like detailed roadmaps and comprehensively scope projects before starting them
  • Full-stack: you have extensive experience working on frontend, backend, and infrastructure

Qualifications (Bonus):

  • Prior experience working at a large technology company
  • Prior experience building and publicly releasing a web application from scratch
  • Prior experience in and/or affinity to healthcare
